A commercially focused legal adviser is celebrating after receiving the Best Law Firm honour at the Malta Best in Business Awards. After receiving three nominations, Acumum Legal & Advisory went on to win the coveted Best Law Firm award for its multidisciplinary legal, tax and advisory services.

During the nomination process Acumum Legal & Advisory went up against an all-inclusive spectrum of Maltese business entities, from SMEs and emerging start-ups to major public companies and government agencies. The awards encompass all sectors, with fashion designers and hospitality groups standing alongside software developers and legal firms.

Winners were announced at an awards evening held at the majestic Verdala Palace in the picturesque Buskett region. The event shone the spotlight on outstanding businesses and corporate organisations, with a focus on commercial excellence and exceptional success. Awards were bestowed by the President of Malta, H.E. Dr Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, with TVM televising the event across the Maltese archipelago.

Over 450 top level executives attended the awards banquet, with distinguished guests including the Hon Minister of Finance Prof Edward Scicluna, Ambassadors from the Russian Federation, and members from the Russian Royal House of Romanov. Guests were entertained by a galvanising line-up of talent including the Spiteri Lucas Band, comedian Malcolm Galea, singer Nevile Refalo, YADA Dance Company and FireplayMalta.

Geraldine Noel, Managing Partner of one of Malta’s leading legal firms Acumum, has been honoured with a Citywealth Power Woman Award for a third consecutive year, cementing her status as one of Europe’s finest lawyers and an influential figure in the world of law and finance.

The Citywealth Power Woman Awards list the top two-hundred most powerful women in the world of government, philanthropy, private wealth, education and private client advisory spheres, building a comprehensive database of inspirational role models for women everywhere.

This year’s list was compiled by looking at last year’s list, as well as taking recommendations from leading figures in the financial service industry, and from submissions sent directly to the editor. As one of just four women selected from Malta, Geraldine’s inclusion for the third-year running is an honour for the international corporate and private client tax lawyer.

Acumum moves Malta Office

We are pleased to announce that due to our requirement for additional and improved office space, that we have completed our move to our new office.

With the move comes the added ability tor us to better service our clients with increased technological resources and a wider service offering.

Associated with the first barristers chambers registered in Malta and in addition to our personalised legal & advocacy, taxation & accounting services, we are now able to offer expanded legal process outsourcing (LPO)opportunities & compliance add-ons.

Centrally managed in Malta, as a lean organisation, we decided to move to premises that would allow us to expand whilst being conscious of cost control, allowing us to remain price competitive – we believe we have achieved this.

Our new address is easy to locate and is convenient for clients both within Malta and those flying in.
